Just finished my first Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers Southwestern Style Chicken - WOW - you hit a home run with these!  I can hardly wait to come to work tomorrow and try the next selection.  This lady would rate these a 10 + on a scale of 1 - 10, please add more choices to this line.

I just had the Sweet and Sour ChickenHealthy CHoice Fresh Mixer, I think this COULD be a Very good lunch except it was way to sweet.  I love Sweet and Sour Chicken would try it again if it was not so sweet.  I am going to try the other selections.

I LOVE the pasta Fresh Mixers, but I just had the Sesame Teriyaki Chicken and I'm more than a little disappointed.  A friend stopped by my office and said it smelled like dog food.  Somebody really got THAT recipe wrong!

I agree. All I can do it look at it. I can't eat it!  Very Disappointed! But the amount of meat was a nice surprise!

Loved the ziti and meat sauce. Great for workplace lunch
Only thing I would recommend would be to add a little packet of parm cheese for the pasta mixers.

Although the parm cheese sounds like a good idea I BEG Heathy Choice NOT to do this!  There are practically no prepared meals that don't contain dairy products (especially pasta sauces) and I was thrilled to see there are so many selections that are dairy free from Heathy Choice.

I agree, you have a good product, but could you make the 'fill line' a bit more visible?
more flavors, and a little less sweet (sweet and sour chicken)

I just had my 1st Mixer for lunch today at work.  It was the Szechwan Beef with Asian Style Noodles.  The noodles cooked well but there were only 2 small pieces of beef and the sauce was rather sweet.  Once of our rooms with a microwave does not have a sink so I had to carry the containers from one room to the other with a sink.  It would be more convenient at home.  I have another one to try at home. They are not expensive, but I would expect more meat.  I think they think we will fill up on the noodles or rice.  I dont think that was 10% of my daily meat!

I also just had my first fresh mixer for lunch. I thought it was very good so I came directly to the web site after eating it to see what other flavors were available.(I had the Ziti & Meat Sauce). I would love to see one with an Alfredo sauce!  There are so many flavors you could come up with! I thought of 4 or five just sitting here. I also agree with the person who said that a packet of parmesan cheese would be great with the pasta entrees! Great Product Healthy Choice! I will be purchasing more.

I had the pasta with red sauce (can't remember which one) and I did not like it.  I cooked the pasta and mixed with the sauce according to directions.  Took three bites and by the third bite I could figure out what it finally tasted like, plastic.  The pasta took on the taste of the plastic bowl and I could not get that burn out of my throat. If anyone has been around burnt plastic or anything like that you know it burns your throat and has a nasty taste.  This tasted just like that.  Could not get it out of my mouth or my mind.  I threw it out and will never touch another one again.  Wasted $4 for plastic.

I just had my first Fresh Mixers and I have to say this was a good lunch. I love the idea of a touch of cheese to complement the dish. I had the ziti with meat sauce and I can't wait to try my next selection tomorrow. I work in the big city so hopefully these little meals will end up saving some money and calories. I would love to see more vegtable only selections. I am really not a fan of microwaving any type of meat. So far so good but I am a little nervous about the chicken dish for tomorrow.

OMG!  All I can say is these meals are wonderful!!!  I just tried the Sweet & Sour Chicken and it was delicious!  I am usually a little leary of chicken or other meats in these kinds of meals, but this was wonderful and such a perfect sized portion.

I had to walk around my office and tell everyone about them!

The pasta mixers are too spicy for me - I don't normally like spicy food at all, so maybe I am overly sensitive.  I had to have water on-hand to drink between each bite, especially the one with the "zesty" sauce.  Even the plain tomato sauce was spicy, though.   I loved the sweet and sour chicken, I didn't find it too sweet like some others in this thread.

I tried the ziti with meat sauce as well as the southwestern chicken, and I love both of the flavors.  I agree that a parmesan cheese packet would be a great addition to the pasta.  I would also really like to see additional flavors for more variety.

I am in the middle of my first Fresh Mixers, its the 'Szechwan Beef with Asian Style Noodles."  I could give you a very simple 2 word review....

YUCKY POO!

Okay, now the real problem. It tastes like sugar. Blek. There is about 1/2 ounce of meat in it, if that and the veggies are almost non existant! I just added about 1/4 cup of soy and a tablespoon of wasabi just to try and force it down because I didn't bring anything else for lunch.

I'm glad to see that some folks liked some of the other flavors.

Too bad, it seemed like such a great idea, until I tasted it. Blek!

Hello all,

here are my observations.
first, there is too much packaging.
Second, The pasta drain lid should have a flap of some sort so the lid can be reused in case you dont finish your meal.
Third, depending on your microwave, the noodles cook at different times, you have to remove the lid to check on "doneness"

Overall, the food was good and just the right portion.

I love this!  I have had the Rotini and the Ziti so far.  I love the spices so it is not a boring diet-like meal.  It is so easy to store and use at work, and as busy as most of us are, convenience is key to staying on track.

I am a big fan of the healthy mixers but feel like I am doing the environment no good with all the plastic I am discarding.  I would like to see ConAgra come out with "refills" (at a reduced price) which I could use in the containers I already have.  Is there any chance this will happen?

I totally agree,  I love the sweet & sour chicken, but I feel guilty throwing the containers away.  I could reuse, but I eat these almost everyday, I cant reuse that many steamers.  I hope they do a refill package, I would buy a bunch!!

I just finished the Rotini for lunch and I thought it was really good. Just enough spice for my taste.

I have the Beef and Szechwan noodles also at home, but after reading a few of the reviews, I am almost reluctant to try it. Maybe I'll try it at home for dinner tonight and not at work.

But I will definitely be picking up a few more of these for work.

I just had the Sweet & Sour Chicken. Nice amount of chicken- but maybe to be healthier it should have brown rice instead.  Also- why are the plastic bowls not recyclable????? I may not buy them any more if we can't recycle. The enviroment is more important to me than a frozen lunch.

Depending on your area, the #5 plastic is recyclable.  I live in the OKC, OK area, and we have curbside recycling for #s 1-7.

Sorry...    EWWW  to the brown rice.  It's not supposed to be that Healthy of a Choice.   Maybe they could start another line with brown rice and wheat pasta.

I just tried the ziti and meat sauce today and thought it was great! Much better than frozen meals. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors. Also, I liked the sweetness of the sauce. But this might be because most women in my family always add a teaspoon of sugar to their pasta sauces....it reminded me of something home cooked even though it wasn't. Just my 2 cents. ^-^

I just tried the new Tuscan Style Chicken Fresh Mixer and was throroughly disappointed.  The "chicken" was not at all white meat. One of my co-workers didn't even think it was chicken.  I love the Ziti with Meat Sauce one,but this was horrible...$5 wasted.

I have tried a few of the Fresh Mixers and I LOVE them!  These are the perfect size for lunch and the fact that they are shelf-stable is fantastic for the office.  I can take several in on Monday and then pick whichever to eat on a given day.  This makes taking my lunch very handy, and by taking several in on Monday, I don't have to remember every day to carry my lunch in each day.  I'm sure we've all left our lunch sitting on the counter at home!

Also, should I decide to go out for lunch, I don't have to worry about a frozen meal being stolen from the breakroom freezer!

We have a cafeteria in our building, but it is VERY expensive when you add it up over the week.

These shelf-stable meals are economical and convenient!

The only request I would have is, can you create more vegetarian options?

Overall, great product, great price, convenient, and a good variety!  Home-run!

AGREED!  Have you tried the Chicken Caccitorie or the Steak/Portobello?  They are wonderful!  I eat a mixer every single day at work and never get tired of them!  A tip:  try cooking the noodles for 3 mins and then add just a tad more water and given them a stir.  Put back in the micro for the remaining time and never have any chewy spots.

Another tip:  for a treat, I may add one slice of Kraft American Singles and stir.  MMMMmmmmm  it goes well with the two flavors I mentioned above and with others as well.  Be sure to review your nutrition panel on the cheese - it does add some fat.  You can also try some parmasean or mozzerella for less cheese calories.

Have a great day!

P.S. to some other folks:  gimmie a break with all the environment/recycle crap. Don't you know they employ people at garbage places just to pick through and separate all of the trash??? Think of it as keeping those people employed during these hard economic times. Message was edited by: LOLALYNX
